A------- M---- joined B--- S-- J--- in 2001. Her repertoire as a principal dancer includes Tsarina Tatiana and Maria Tannenbaum in Dennis Nahat’s The Nutcracker, the featured female dancer in Nahat's Ontogeny, Grand Pas de Dix, and Lew Christensen's Vivaldi Concerto Grosso, Long Tall Sally in N----t’s Blue Suede Shoes, The Silk Empress in Nahat’s Middle Kingdom — Ancient China, Juno in Michael Smuin’s The Tempest, Karen Blixen (The Woman) in the world premiere production of Flemming Flindt’s Out of Africa, and the role of The Lover in Smuin’s Shinju.
M---r was born and raised in Southern California. She received her training at Marin Dance Theatre, the Orange County High School of the Arts, and the Huntington Academy of Dance. She was awarded the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts scholarship and won the Disneyland Creativity Challenge Award.
She has performed at the International Ballet Festival of Miami and has enjoyed guest artist roles with The Margaret Wingrove Dance Company, Pointe of Departure, and the Allegro Theatre Company. |
